KCYC Looking Forward—Club Design & Long Range Planning

Club Design Document—This document guides the improvements and priorities to our existing clubhouse as volunteer labor and money becomes available. The majority of items/projects in this document are items that would be funded by volunteers, the Capital Reserve Fund (requires that existing items reach the end of their useful life), or discretionary funds when available. The document provides a basis for member input on what is important to them, so we can ensure the club evolves to an improved functional and aesthetic state. It also positions our talented members to volunteer and provide labor on items as needed (i.e. removing the bathroom wallpaper, resurfacing the kitchen buffet, building a new coat closet, etc).

Long Range Plan—This is a far reaching plan that defines what the club wants to be in its future state. It is the first draft and is aspirational in nature. It is meant to be thought provoking. It seeks your input and provides a platform for the club to agree on what is important as a club over the next 3 to 5 years.

We are publishing both documents on our website. There is a defined process for providing your input and improving the plans. If you are interested, please volunteer to participate in focus groups so that we are sure we get additional input as we continue to upgrade both plans.
