Recently members have expressed concern about the club’s stance regarding a COVID protocol. In order to assure that we were still in compliance with State and County recommendations, the Board reviewed their guidance, had a full discussion and agreed upon this COVID Protocol that we are providing to KCYC and our members.
COVID Protocol
- If you have symptoms, not feeling well or know that you have been exposed to COVID, do NOT come to the club.
- Per the State issued guidelines for private gatherings:
Wear masks. If you’re gathering indoors with people outside of your household, it’s recommended that everyone wear face coverings, unless most attendees are fully vaccinated. Have extra masks on hand if people forget.
- If you are not vaccinated, we strongly recommend that you wear a mask inside the club. KN95 masks are provided by the club at the front desk.
- If you are not comfortable in the environment, we encourage you to wear a mask while inside the club. Members should be respectful to all members deciding to wear a mask.
- Other State recommendations will be followed:
- Provide ventilation.
- Have hand sanitizer available.
- Sanitize surfaces.
- Social distance when possible.
Please note that the Kitsap Public Health Department has decided against vaccine mandates in the County, and the State has decided against vaccine mandates for small businesses.
This protocol will be re-assessed if the guidance from either the State or the County changes. The Board monitors the Kitsap Board of Public Health Meetings and guidance from the State.
