Dear Kingston Cove Yacht Club:

The Barsness Family would like to extend an invitation to the members (past and present) of the Kingston Cove Yacht Club to the Celebration of Life service for Past Commodore, Daryl Barsness, to be held at the Eglon Community Church in Kingston, WA. on April 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM.  The Church is located at 33690 Eglon Road N.E., Kingston, WA. 98346.  Duane Sabin, Pastor and Retired Chaplin of the North Kitsap Fire Department will be officiating the service.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions we ask that all attendees remain in their vehicles for the service as it will be broadcasted over the radio on Channel 107.9 FM.  You will be able to receive reception as long as you are within 1,000 feet of the Church.  There will be no food or drink available so feel free to bring your own beverage and snacks and dress comfortably.  Parking will be available on the left side of the Church on the grass.

Under COVID-19 regulations, Phase II, the family will be able to have a small outside reception following the service at the Barsness residence located at 4859 N.E. Deerbrook Lane, Hansville, WA. 98340 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the same day.  Masks and observance of 6’ distancing will be required!  If you don’t have a mask, one will be provided.

Please e-mail Peggy Barsness at mbarsness@msn.com with your confirmation if you plan on attending the reception at the Barsness home.  Covid regulations only allows a certain number of people which will need to be monitored.

Daryl was honored to serve as Past Commodore of KCYC from 1999-2000 and from 2001-2002.  He was a very active member in good standing for over 15 years.  He always had many stories to tell.  Daryl passed away from Pancreatitis on April 17, 2020.  Please join the Barsness family in finally being able to celebrate Daryl’s life.

Best Regards, Peggy Barsness
