A Fond Farewell to Marilyn Kutz

It is with a heavy heart that we told you of the passing of David Kutz's Mother, Marilyn Kutz. Marilyn was a treasured life member, joining the club in 1984 with her husband Ron. Marilyn and Ron were spent 54 wonderful years together before Ron's passing in 2002. They raised their three children on Bainbridge Island until 1963, when they moved to Juneau, Alaska, when Ron went to work with the Alaska State Ferries and became a Captain. During their time in Juneau, they built two beautiful homes and made hundreds of Alaskan friends. Some of their best life memories were their times in Juneau.

In 1975 they moved to Kingston, WA, to prepare for retirement in their waterfront home on the shores of Puget Sound. They loved boating and spent many summers cruising between Puget Sound and Southeast Alaska. They also enjoyed traveling around the country in their RV eventually buying a home in Arizona and becoming Snow Birds.

Marilyn was a life member of the Kingston Cove Yacht Club, a member of the Kingston Garden Club, Kingston Red Hats, and active with Kingston Seniors. She loved to paint, garden, and entertain family and friends, in her waterfront-view home. She was also the best cook!! Many of her recipes appear in the Kingston Cove Yacht Club cookbooks and in our family's recipe boxes. She loved her poodles dearly, spoiling four different ones, over the years and, also her cat Zoey.

She was dearly loved and will be truly missed.
