The Port of Bremerton offers a great deal to the history buff. There is a decommissioned Navy ship along the docks that now serves as a museum and the Navy Shipyard Museum is a short walk away. The waterfront area offers a number of bars and restaurants with a variety of cuisines. The docks are long and wide so pier side gatherings are easily arranged. The trip to Bremerton offers majestic views whether you take the eastern route through Rich Passage or the western route through the Agate Pass and down the Port Orchard Bay. Each route offers beautiful views of Mt Rainier, the Cascades and the Olympic Mountains. For the non-boater there are lodging opportunities nearby so all members can enjoy this cruise.
