Dear KCYC Members:
I just want to remind you of the appropriate use of our 10 designated KCYC parking stalls in the Port of Kingston's parking lot.
Here is the parking policy by agreement with the Port of Kingston:
KCYC members can park in the KCYC parking spaces any time, any day with a decal on their vehicle. (Decals will be provided for each vehicle owned)
Examples of appropriate parking use are:
- A KCYC Meeting
- A KCYC Event
- Visit the Port
- Visit downtown
- While on your boat.(If you are on your boat for an extended time, park in a designated Port parking spot.)
KCYC members cannot:
- Assign their parking privileges to non-members.
- Park in KCYC designated parking and commute to work.
KCYC rentals will have access to KCYC parking while renting the facility.
We are experiencing many non-members parking in our stalls. Therefore, we requested the Port to enforce by issuing violation citations with a fine. Members with vessels permanently moored in the marina are encouraged to use their Port issued parking permits in the "permit" designated stalls to lessen the demand for the KCYC designated stalls. Our designated stalls are not a reciprocal privilege for members of other yacht clubs.
Make sure you have our small burgee decal on your vehicle window to avoid a citation. I will be asking Board approval to purchase temporary guest parking passes for non-members attending a clubhouse event.
I appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy and being good Port tenants.
