Here's an opportunity to do something little that could mean a lot!
Dorothy and Tom Chambers are past club members who belonged for many years until just a few years ago. Tom gave a ton of time to KCYC by dealing with the garbage/recycle for a long, long time. And Dorothy used to be part of the phone tree, when that was how the club communicated to members. Dorothy has had health issues for a few years so Tom has been taking care of her, but now Tom has had a few strokes. At this point neither can drive and neither likes to cook.
We have set up a meal train to try to provide them with some food for awhile. If you aren't familiar with the program, you just go to the website and sign up for a date to prepare a meal for them and deliver it to their house. Neither of them eat a lot, and aren't fussy so anything will be appreciated. Some ideas might be: spaghetti, tuna fish casserole, pork chops, fried chicken, potato salad, soups, macaroni and cheese, etc.
Just use the link below to find the mealtrain which has been set up for Tom and Dorothy. If you have any questions, please contact Jan Erickson at jkerickson@aol.com, 520-780-0333.
*PS. If cooking isn't your thing, Tom and Dorothy could also use some help outside with some lawn care. |
