July 4th! July 4th! JULY 4th! | July 4th is right around the corner!
What does this mean for the KCYC family? Celebrating the spirit of our "little village by the sea", our community, our KCYC family under the umbrella of America's Birthday, Independence Day!
It also happens to be the BIGGEST fundraising event for the club, with multiple events throughout the day, requiring our VOLUNTEER ARMY to report for duty.
At the end of the activity packed day, we shall all be rewarded with the BEST fireworks show you've ever seen. I promise!

No MAST (Mandatory Alcohol Server Training) License or experience required.
Staff is needed to sell tickets, check IDs, pour drinks, and generally help in the tent. The shifts are chopped into short two hour increments so feel free to grab more than one, in the same or different area! Take a break, enjoy the party, come back for another go! The positions that are easier on the old bones are also flagged as "sitting down" in the description, so choose one of those to take a break. And while you work, you'll be able to listen to the sounds of the live band that will be playing in the park!
The beer tent will be open on Friday, July 4th from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Shifts start at 10 am for set up, and we need lots of help at the end to collapse and clean up the operation after closing. Because, you know, EVERYONE wants to enjoy the FIREWORKS
Sign up your spouses, adult children, and friends. We need an “all hands-on deck, or in the tent as the case may be” participation from our volunteers.

We still have 15 (!) slots open. They're just couple hours short, take one, or two!
Specifically, we have NO CREW for the last shift for 7 - 9 pm, the busiest time in the tent by far...
We also need large clean coolers loaned to the event, preferably delivered before the day of.
Please email or text Simona if you have one you can loan. | | | KCYC Parade Entry
This year's theme: "KCYC gives back to the community".
Walter and Karen Viereck have volunteered their boat and truck, which we will decorate to the nines. Including bubbles and music. We are hoping for TWO DOZEN members and family to walk in the parade, dressed to indicate what KCYC does for the community, holding various signs. We will have couple meetings in the upcoming weeks to finalize all the details. that we'd love to have you participate in. Your ideas are not just welcome, but required for success!

We need at least 7 (seven) large clean coolers by July 3rd to start chilling loose cans and water bottles etc. These are always loaned out by members. There is no list of who loaned a cooler in prior years. Thank you!
