Welcome to the first Bosun Pipe of the new Board. Somehow October got by me and I forgot to put out the BP so November should be filled with information as we approach the holidays. For those of you who are new to the process, I reach out to all Board members and committee chairs to submit articles that might be of interest to members. For many members who don’t attend the monthly general meetings, it is their only way to hear what is going on in the club. (Jimmy, I’m not certain of who the committee chairs are for this year so please let me know).
I do not follow a firm schedule but I try to publish the second week in the month. This allows for the ten day notice required by our bylaws for publishing the names of applicants before they can be inducted into the club. I try to give you several days notice before the publication deadline. If you have nothing to submit, I ask that you let me know so I won’t pester you to get back to me. I will publish whatever you submit, maybe with a little editing, and then have the commodore review before posting.
For this month, I would like to get the BP out by Monday, November 10th so please send me your articles by then. You can simply include it in an email, attach it as a document, or text a note. Below is an outline of what I know is going on but it is only a guide. If there is anyone you think I should reach out to, please let me know. I’m looking forward to a great year!
