We all know that hunger exists in our community, and food donations are needed all year round, not just at the holidays.  This program is designed to help meet those needs by asking community members to donate needed non-perishable foods which they will collect every other month. 

KCYC has chosen to join this project as part of our Community Engagement program.  Every other month we will ask five members to sign up to bring items from the request list provided by the food bank.  A coordinator from the Community Engagement Committee will pack the items in the green bags received from Sharenet and drop the food off at the food bank.

Be sure to drop off your donations at the clubhouse before the deadline of June 12th. Registration and green bags are not required.

• Summer Meals for Kids (easy to make, kid-friendly foods)
• Whole-grain bread
• No added sugar jam or jelly
• Natural or no added salt peanut butter or other nut/seed butter
• Mac & Cheese cups
• Oatmeal cups or packets
• Whole wheat or corn tortillas
• Cereal
• Canned Tuna / Chicken pouches
• Pasta Sauce
• Pasta (whole wheat)
• Toiletries / Tampons
• Art and Craft Supplies
• Shopping bags
