2.  There will be a cocktail party on Perfect Balance on the Guest Dock at QCYC on Friday, May 5 at 4:30 pm.  Please bring an appetizer to share and your adult beverage.  Everyone is welcome.  Dinner at QCYC starts at 6 pm.

3.  There are no other social activities planned as the week-end is chocked full of activities and adventures.

4.  Club members often go to SYC for lunch on Friday and to the SYC clubhouse after the parade.  Nothing formal planned.  Just wander in.  There always seems to be another seat.

5.  All meals are available at QCYC Thursday through Saturday.  Breakfast only on Sunday.  Music and dancing Th, Fr and Sat night.  The full schedule can be found at https://www.queencity.org/node/66437.

6.  The Water Shuttle between QCYC and SYC is available Friday and Saturday 8 am – Midnight and Sunday 8 am – Noon.

7.  Bar tickets are available in packets of $20.  Drink prices will be posted.

8.  Purchase meal tickets at the office or cashiers table.   NO presale tickets will be available.

9.  Parking is very limited on Opening Day.  Most members take the Bainbridge Ferry and Uber to QCYC or catch the Light Rail to the University and walk to SYC.  The KCYC vessels will be on the QCYC guest dock.  Come on out and see what is happening.  Take the water shuttle from QCYC to SYC to view the crew races and parade.

If you have questions, please contact your Cruise Captain, Nancy Langwith, at langwithn52@gmail.com.

Instructions for the Fleet at Queen City Yacht Club

1.  You may arrive any time between Thursday morning and Saturday at 9:30 am when they close the cut.  Perfect Balance will arrive Thursday morning.  Many boats leave on Sunday and the rest on Monday.  Perfect Balance will be leaving on Sunday so we will have to shuffle remaining boats.

2.  I will stand by on 16 and 68 and will be available by text.  Please keep me posted on your arrival time so we can have helping hands.  Rafting in the wind can be challenging.  I will send out an email closer to the event asking for your approximate arrival time and then you can follow up with me on the day of your arrival with your status.

3.  If you have not transited the locks, review the necessary information at http://www.nwboatinfo.com/Ballard-Locks.html.  Sailboats will need to use their horns to open the bridges and remember that the bridges are locked down during rush hour.  If this is you first time, please check with Jack Lott or Joseph Charnes to get information on the bridges.

4.  We will be rafted off each other and you will gain access to the dock via swim platforms and cockpits or using you dinghy.  QCYC is not very dog friendly, but dogs are permitted.

5.  Perfect Balance will anchor the fleet on the dock and boats will be rafted generally in the order that they arrive.  We will deploy anchors as needed to keep us in place.  Our parade entry, Broadreach, will need to be at the end of the line, so we will shuffle as needed.

6.  Power is always an issue.  Please bring extra cords AND SPLITTERS if you have them.  We will need to split and string lines across the boats to reach the outermost boats.

7.  Dinghies can be dropped and tied behind the fleet.  Spontaneous dinghy outings occur, so be ready!

8.  You MUST register online with QCYC at https://www.queencity.org/node/54010 if you are mooring at QCYC.  You must register with SYC at https://seattleyc.formstack.com/forms/reciprocal_guest_registration  if you wish to eat or drink there.  They do not take cash or credit card.  You must have on account.

9.  QCYC usually supplies the cruise captains with additional information/changes that I will post, so check the windows of Perfect Balance if you need information.

10.  All meals can be provided by QCYC, so no BBQ’s please.
